Most dogs will tolerate clothing even if they aren’t really crazy about it.  Some actually do like it.  But cats are a different story.  I suppose in some instances a cat will put up with clothing, as we can tell by all the dressed up cats all over the internet.  But I think for the most part they are not happy to be attired.

The first thing you have to do is get the cat to sit still long enough to dress it.  That alone is a major undertaking.  Like giving a cat a pill.  Or putting a cat in a carrier when she knows you are taking her to the vet.  Or giving her a bath.  I managed to put a pink t-shirt on our Gizmo once, and she immediately fell over on her side and refused to move.
